NASCAR NATION-Where NASCAR Fans UNITE!

I have just published my second book in the Rafe Vincennes series. The first book, Sociopath?, is about Rafe's early life. In this second one,To Love Or To Be Loved, Rafe becomes a Sprint Cup champion. The books are available at Amazon for Kindle https://www.amazon.com/author/vwilliams. It can be downloaded to other types of e-reading devices or to a computer at http://smashwords.com/books/view/146893. Warning: contains extremely graphic content and deals with taboo subject matter so if you are easily offended, you might want to take a pass!

I fell in love with NASCAR while writing the first book in this series. I didn't know anything at all about the sport but I knew I wanted my main character to be a race car driver. I got a book at the library, Sunday Money, by Jeff MacGregor. I thought I'd have to force myself to read it to be able to learn enough about NASCAR to sound somewhat knowledgeable. I picked it up reluctantly, began reading and fell in love! I haven't missed a race since. My first on t.v. was the tire fiasco Brickyard 400 and I've since been to Indianapolis twice and Homestead-Miami once...getting to see Jimmie get his 5th championship.

It is strange how one seemingly insignificant twist can really change your entire life. I read a book and found a passion.

Mom is not doing too well. Her memory is definitely getting worse and her health is failing too. She just seems to be sort of drifting away. I guess at 93, that isn't so surprising. I don't leave her now except to run to the store or some place quick. My son if coming from Florida. He's going to help his friend who has a bad back get his scheduled jobs done that his business contracted for. He'll probably be here 3 weeks or so. I'm looking forward to the help and moral support. And thanks for reading!
