Well this is my first blog post, I will try to keep it simple and not to boring.
Can somebody explain to me how thw new points system is improving anything? It doesn't address the issues with the chase and I find it hard to believe that we the fans were having difficulty understanding the old system, or at least the majority. Seems to me the new system really has changed nothing other than when it comes chase time Nascar can advertise a closer point spread trying to drive up ratings.… Continue

Kevin Harvick, along with Denny Hamlin, finally gave "The Champ" a run for his money in the Chase for the Sprint Cup last year. Many think the sport needs a new champion, and last year was the closest it has been in a while to happening. "Happy" Harvick was pretty happy in 2010, and his phenomenal average finish of 8.67 probably had something to do with his good mood.
Heading into 2011, Kevin Harvick is ranked pretty high on everyone's charts--except mine. I'm not buying the… Continue

That is the one word that sums it all up. Anticipation of that warm sunny Sunday. Anticipation of National anthem with it's fly over and prayer. Anticipation of the starting of the engines. Anticipation of the pace laps that lead us to the green flag. The building of sound as it waves in the air. Louder and louder it grows as they build speed. As they reach turn one they start to spread!… Continue

Because of the difficulty in swapping production for manufactures Nascar decided to hold of the fuel injection program this year and implement it next year. I think it is a good idea to allow them to develop a game plan. This will be a learning curve for all teams. I am glad that it won't be another tale of two seasons like last year. The wing change should have been made right from the get go. That is like changing the football in the middle of a… Continue

I figure since we can't hold a decent conversation on yahoo lately, we would use this space as we do the message board on yahoo. Create a topic and you can even click follow to be notified if a comment is made. It could be the new Yahoo message board or it could be just a temporary fix to the spamming problem. Either way we all are hyped about this new season and this space gives us a place to be hyped.
My leagues are full and I want to to chat Nascar so this is the place to do it… Continue

That is the question. I am crazy about posting on Yahoo, everyone knows that. I see a few blogs created but very few comments attached to them. I went back and looked at the entire blog page and realized there were blogs from Da Goat no one responded to. Not even me. (Sorry Bro)
So with that in mind, I ask what can be done about that. I'm wondering if we can set the page up to show how many views it gets. Then at least the ones who may put time into writing can see if people are even… Continue

With the new pavement will we see 3 wide racing all day? In most cases in recent history the roughness of the track, coupled with the air being buffered in the middle lane, made it a bad place to be hug out. Being IN the middle is not the "IN" place to be. That may not be the case this year by reports from drivers. As we seen in Dega after the repaving, cars would travel in packs of four with no problems. Daytona is not as wide as Dega but 3 wide is very possible now. In fact in my opinion… Continue

2/16/11: Well lookey here. they change the points, AND 1 less over the wall crew member. THIS is getting interesting!
Everyone is tired of one thing or another in NASCAR these days. If it's not Jimmie winning the title every year, it's the COT. If it isn't the COT, it's debris cautions. If not debris cautions, over zealous penalizing. I could go on and on, but I want to tackle… Continue

Translated: We are going to bring this sport back to a time when no one knows who they are.
With the calls made in this chase it appears they are trying to make a joke out of this sport. Bowyer get docked 150 points for driving a car that they say when they did their 5th… Continue

Kyle is a very talented driver who has the capability of winning multiple Sprint Cup Championships. His maturity level is inching along slowly, but it is indeed inching along. He will make some sort of splash in this year's Chase. Kyle has more of a cutting edge about him than his brother Kurt, a former Chase Champion. Both Busch brothers are abnoxious most of the time, but that is a good thing. I would rather back a hated driver than a nice guy, ala Mark Martin or JR. It's the old adiom...nice… Continue

This question has been asked over and over. Some say Kyle Busch....Really? Kyle Busch? Drives with balls of steel, but shows some immaturity at times that tells me he hasn't, and he has a long way to go to be nearly considered.
Jimmie Johnson? Unprecedented 4 straight titles, but he's not really "Intimidator-like" on the track. He's just like.... himself. Did I just say he's vanilla?
There are other drivers you could argue the point on for… Continue

Let's face it, fans are sick of seeing Jimmie Johnson crowned the champion. For NASCAR's sake in the area of fan support, they better hope someone else finally takes the title!

Alright folks, life's too serious to take too seriously! ....which is where Nad Weinerstroker comes in...... litterally.
Now I hate sites that ask for too much personal info so I spelled my first name backwards - and while further contemplating joining Reddogs' group, all the while stroking the weiner DOG laying in my lap, it was the best I could do on such short notice.
But now given the chance to have a look around… Continue

We had a great season in 2009, running 40 races, winning 20, (Including the Fall Brawl, one of the biggest kart races in America) and taking home two championships. We finished 2nd about 10 times, once we ran 4 races in one weekend (two classes on fri,, two on sat.) and finished 2nd in all 4.

I race karts, but not your typical little yard karts that won't hit 10 mph. These things have a top speed of around 70 mph, with 11-13 hp (Not Much) alchol fueled briggs and straton modified engines. One of the engines can cost you up to 1,800 dollars, without tax or shipping. The kart itself costs about 200$ more for the bare frame. The whole thing put together weighs about 290 pounds, 325 with driver. This years season is about to start, in march, and it should be good after what we saw last… Continue
