NASCAR NATION-Where NASCAR Fans UNITE!

Wonder what the points would look like if NASCAR hadn't "simplified" the points system? Well, here you go. Remember, people like Trevor Bayne would have still accumulated points for their races. The order that these drivers are in is what they would be if NASCAR hadn't changed the points system followed by total points with the change in standing in parenthesis after the point total.

The difference is very minimal, no matter how much NASCAR advertises that this new points system is more exciting. There are a few changes, but for the most part, everyone is ranked one spot lower because Bayne is included. If he wasn't there would barely be any differences. So, is this new points system all it's hyped up to be? I'll continue to record the points using last year's format through the 2011 season to find out.

Hurray! I got back in synch with NASCAR just in time for the play offs! A couple of months ago, I switched service providers, going from cable to satellite. I think I only saw two races for the duration. Every week it seemed, there was some kind of…Continue
