I race karts, but not your typical little yard karts that won't hit 10 mph. These things have a top speed of around 70 mph, with 11-13 hp (Not Much) alchol fueled briggs and straton modified engines. One of the engines can cost you up to 1,800 dollars, without tax or shipping. The kart itself costs about 200$ more for the bare frame. The whole thing put together weighs about 290 pounds, 325 with driver. This years season is about to start, in march, and it should be good after what we saw last season. I won the championship at a track in uyless,ky called riverside raceway park. I'm 13 years old and I run in the 15+ class, the Junior classes got boring and slow. I won 12 races, including one at a track that holds one of the biggest kart races in america,The Fall Brawl. I wasn't in this race, however. We did go to that race, 2,500 dollars to win, total in all classes to be given away was 26,000 dollars. It doesn't get any tougher than this! We didn't make the main though. We got almost knocked off the track in the heat, so we didn't even make the b main. Well thats all for now, more updates when the season starts.
