NASCAR NATION-Where NASCAR Fans UNITE!

I have listened to Larry McReynolds and Kyle Petty lambaste and ridicule Dale Jr and the 88 team stating that in their opinion they do not have what it takes to be competitive in the final 10 races of the Chase. Who the heck to these two run of the mill fools think they are. Especially you Kyle Petty. If you look up in Websters Dictionary under the epitome of a run of the mill driver there is a picture of you.

I know I am running off at the mouth tonight, but I know that Jr is better then their words have said. And I hope they have to eat their words, throw them up and then have to eat them again lol.

I'm sorry, but they are pompous donkeys. Bring it on all your Jr haters, we will see what happens during the Chase. And don't count Jr out!!!!!!!!!!!!

The really sad part about it all is that they are getting paid good money to do that!  Why do you suppose that is?  Do the program sponsors just have money to throw away sponsoring that kind of stuff?  Or........do tons of people listen to them and sponsors like to spend their money on programs that tons of people watch or listen to?  Hmmmmmmmmm!

Yeah, what Mo and Woody said. These "commentators" don't have a clue anymore as to what their talking about, they can't even get the drivers names or car#'s right half the time, lol. And they think people are going to listen and take what they say seriuosly? What we have on Speed Tv is..Dumb, Dumber, Dumbest and too Dumb to rate.
Although, I do like Jimmy Spencer, did anyone see him eat that towel yet?

I agree with both sides here. You can't count anyone out, Dale still has a shot. Once your a few chase races down, you'll know if Dale can really be a contender for the Cup. Cause really, if you have one crash, your out. Woody, I salute you for thinking he can win the cup. I think he can very well win it too. On the other hand, Duhhub, your right. Dale hasn't been doing that good. He hasn't got a top 10 finish in a long while. You need good runs to win the Cup. Dale keeps getting 15th or worse almost every race, and realisticly hasn't been in contention for any wins.  For him to win, he has to have really good runs now, and that just doen't seem like it'll happen. His A game hasn't come on yet. The facts work agaisnt him, not that good runs in the last bunch of races. He has to really pull together, and suddenly start doing really well. Cause in my opinion, Johnson, Gordon and Kyle Busch are top 3 for the Cup. Dale has to beat them almost every time to really have a shot. (This is just my thoughts, I'm only going by the facts.) Woody, you could be right, he could come through.

@Brikim: No drivers ever have won the championship without winning at least one race.

@Woody: I have to say that Jr. will not be competitive in the Chase, just like Kyle Petty said. Dale started off good, working his way up to 3rd in points with only 1 finish worse than 12th in the first 10 races. That's top-driver caliber right there, capable of finishing in the top 2-3 in points. But as of late, things have gone downhill. He has just 1 top 10 in his last 12 races, including 4 finishes of 20th or worse. His past 5 finishes have been 16th, 19th, 14th, 16th, and 15th. Not exactly setting the world on fire. I just don't see that suddenly changing this weekend. You can hope all you want, Woody, and I respect that, but don't expect a finish better than 9th or 10th in the Chase. He just lacks in consistency (top 5 and 10 consistency, I mean), has no wins, lacks momentum, and doesn't have enough talent to bring home a championship.
