If you could create your very own, custom race track, what would it look like? What series would race there?

Mine would be a literal tri-oval racetrack; much like Pocono, but shorter, with more rounded straightaways and with higher banking. I would have the Nationwide and Cup Series race here, each with 1 event a year. There would also be a road-course included for IndyCar events. I chose to put this track in Savannah, Georgia, simply because of the location - the closest major tracks (Darlington, Atlanta, and Daytona) were each several hundred miles away.

(Now, with the real feet measurements here I know I'm probably off on specifics, but I did it just to give you an idea of how big the straights are in relation to each other - bear with me.)

Savannah Motor Speedway
Savannah, Georgia

0.7-mile tri-oval (to run counter-clockwise)
Front Straight: Straight with no banking, 1,100 feet long and 40 feet wide
Turn 1: A gradual left-hander with 18 degrees banking, 55 feet wide
Second Straightaway: Slightly curved left with 7 degrees of banking, 800 feet long and 45 feet wide
Turn 2: A quick, sharp left-hander banked at 15 degrees, 50 feet wide
Back Straight: Curved left with 4 degrees of banking, 1,800 feet long and 60 feet wide
Turn 3: A slow, sharp left-hander with 15 degrees banking, 45 feet wide

1.6-mile road course (to run clockwise)
Front Straight: Slightly curved right with no banking, 2,300 feet long and 40-60 feet wide
Turn 1: A slow, sharp right-hander with 15 degrees banking, 45 feet wide
Back Straight: Curved right with 4 degrees of banking, 1,800 feet long and 60 feet wide
Turn 2: A quick, sharp right-hander banked at 15 degrees, 50 feet wide
Second Straightaway: Slightly curved right with 7 degrees of banking, 800 feet long and 45 feet wide
Carousel/Turns 5 & 6: Two fast left-hand arcs each banked at 18 degrees, 2,100 feet long and 40 feet wide
Chicane/Turns 7 & 8: Two slow, right hand turns banked at 0 degrees, and 35 feet wide
Esses/Turns 9, 10, and 11: A short span of 3 tight turns: right, left, and right; 40 feet wide
Chicane 2/Turns 12 & 13: Identical to Turns 7 & 8
Turn 14: A wide, fast, sweeping arc leading to the front straightaway, 60 feet wide

I modeled this track after a bike racing course I have made in my driveway, alas on a much smaller scale, obviously.

The highly anticipated debut of NASCAR's Generation 6 cars, fan-friendly competition changes, new team alignments, a bona fide Rookie of the Year battle, and the million-dollar question of whether newly crowed 2012 champion Brad Keselowski can once again hold off the likes of Jimmie Johnson, Clint Bowyer, Tony Stewart and the freshly motivated Busch brothers give the 2013 Sprint Cup Series season all the trappings of drama-fueled year.
