Fantasy NASCAR Preview: Martinsville - Goody's Fast Relief 500

After the checkered flag waved at Fontana, I had to sit back and rub my eyes; did Kevin Harvick just beat Jimmie Johnson at one of his best tracks? I think most NASCAR fans–myself included–breathed a sigh of relief that this could possibly be the year that Johnson gets knocked off of his throne. Of course, running second every…

Points After Bristol Under OLD Format

As I said last week, I'm going to post the points standings after each race if NASCAR didn't switch to the new method. There wasn't much change last week when you compared the two, but this week there is more (including a new points leader). It seems like wins actually counted more under the old system, as Edwards would be up one spot, Kyle Busch up three, and Jeff Gordon up three as well if NASCAR didn't make the switch. Below you will find the points standings under the old format with the…

The Story Of Nate The Snake

FANTASTIC story, I did not write it, and no idea who did, but it's a great life lesson. Enjoy.

So, there's a man crawling through the desert.

He'd decided to try his SUV in a little bit of cross-country travel, had great fun zooming over the badlands and through the sand, got…

Mid-Week Musings: Studying The Switches

A few major changes went on during NASCAR's off-season if you don't remember. Marcos Ambrose joined Richard Petty Motorsports to drive the car vacated by Kasey Kahne's move to Red Bull Racing. Bobby Labonte jumped into Ambrose's ride, and Paul Menard left Richard Petty Motorsports in favor of Richard Childress Racing. Oh, yeah--one more thing: the Hendrick Motorsports stable was… Continue

Points Standings Under OLD Format

Wonder what the points would look like if NASCAR hadn't "simplified" the points system? Well, here you go. Remember, people like Trevor Bayne would have still accumulated points for their races. The order that these drivers are in is what they would be if NASCAR hadn't changed the points system followed by total points with the change in standing in parenthesis after the point total.

The difference is very minimal, no matter how much NASCAR advertises that this new points system is… Continue

Can Johnson Win Make It Two In A Row At Vegas? He Will Have To Find Speed To Get Past The Roush Boys

Jeff Gordon snapped his 66-race winless streak in Phoenix last week, surviving through a (surprisingly) crash-filled race to take the checkered flag over Kyle Busch. Last week's race ruined many people's rosters with… Continue
