No, Brad Keselowski didn’t drop the American flag on purpose after he claimed victory in Sunday’s Kobalt 400. It was the wind — there were gusts up to 40 mph around the time the race ended — that sent the stars and stripes to the ground during his post-race burnout.

So Keselowski made the right call: He immediately unstrapped himself from his car, ran out and picked it up.

What’s the problem, you ask? For some reason, someone called out the NASCAR driver for the gaffe, so…
