With trembling lips and terrified eyes

the little boy stood waiting.

He must have done some small thing wrong,

cause Daddy's look was hating.

A brutal slap across his face

knocked him down to the floor.

Then he was yanked back to his feet,

and slapped around some more.

"That will teach you, you little bastard,

that things are done my way.

You better listen when I am talking to you

and do just what I say."

Then Daddy walked out and grabbed a beer,

left him there with hurting head.

Reaching out, he touched the hand,

little brother, beneath the bed.

His Mama knows what goes on here

but doesn't know just what to do.

She would like to have a better life,

but she is afraid of him too.

"Hey, woman!  Fix me some food!

I'm going out for the night."

She hurries around to do his bidding,

trying to avoid another fight.

He finishes eating, slams out the door

without a backward glance.

Should she take her two little boys and run?

Would they even have a chance?

She hugs them close and gives them love,

while trying her best to think.

Then reaches for the bottle there,

to pour herself a drink.

She feeds the boys some supper

and puts them down to sleep.

"Boys, just do what your Daddy says."

She is trying hard not to weep.

So there she sits, alone at last,

another drink in hand.

It helps her get through another day

doing the best she can.

She knows her husband has some good

buried underneath the mean,

but she just settles for the way it is.

It's all she has ever seen.

Nascar Nation....what a wonderful place to greet

with all my fellow NASCAR kin whom I've had the pleasure meet

We got Jr lovers, Gordon lovers, even Harvick lovers too

But unless you're pullin for Kurt "Thomas" Busch there's really nothing left to do

We take jabs at each other in the name of our drivers just to poke a lil fun

But once that nut named Hemi logs on...some chatters go on the run

Yeah sometimes folks get a little riled up they just up and leave

But it ain't necessary to do such a thing...... when we have such a gracious hostess named Eve

Now pull on your belts on tight...grab yourself a sprite and get ready for a real good year

And if you happen to see my lil buddy Nick around....just hand him a real cold beer

I love this to see a good race.....even Zroc brings his own pom pom

Because chatting over here year after year is much better than going to .com

There was a little lizard

That came into my room,

And so we tried to catch him,

And send him to his doom.

He hurried and he scurried,

And soon was out of sight.

I slept with one eye open, when

I went to bed that night.

Oh, lizard, little lizard,

Oh, won't you go outside?

Oh, lizard, little lizard,

It's not polite to hide.

I didn't ever find him,

I guess he got away.

Maybe he went back outside,

And out, I hope he'll stay.

Oh lizard, little lizard,

You gave me such a fright.

Oh, lizard, little lizard,

Where are you tonight?

(I sure hope you don't bite.)

I love this, Pastor Al Moody sent it to me, and I wanted to share.

I am part of the fellowship of the unashamed.  I have Holy Spirit power.  I’ve made my decision. I’ve stepped over the line.  I am a disciple of Jesus and I won’t look back, let up, slow down, turn away or be silent.

My past is redeemed, my present makes sense and my future is secure.  I’m finished with low living, small walking, smooth knees, colorless dreams, worthless talk, cheap giving and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need prosperity, position or popularity.  I don’t have to be right, first, tops, recognized or praised, regarded or rewarded.

I now live by faith.  I lean on His presence, walk with patience, live by prayer and labor with power.  My faith is set, my goal is heaven.  My road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my guide is reliable and my mission is clear.

I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back or delayed.  I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, shrink in the presence of the accuser or negotiate at the table of the enemy.

I will not give up, shut up or let up until I’ve stayed up, prayed up, paid up, stored up and preached up for the cause of Christ.

I am a disciple of Christ.  I must go until He comes, give until I drop, preach until all know, and work until He stops me.

And when He comes for His own he will have no trouble recognizing me because I will be running straight to Him.

When the flowers in the garden,

Bloom out in every hue,

And spread their beauty on the earth,

That's when I think of you.

For you were like the flowers, dear,

So lovely and so grand.

You poured your love upon us all,

We knew you'd understand.

Now the petals all have fallen,

Their colors fade away,

But they live on within our hearts,

Like thoughts of you each day.

I must continue in this life,

Without you next to me,

But the flowers in the garden,

Bring back sweet memories.

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you figure out which one it is,
you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON,
it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty;
to provide you with guidance and support;
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON,
because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person,
and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
