TOP 5 – Green flag Deadline

Each race week, before the drop of the green flag, list 6 drivers you think have the best chance of being at the front of the pack at the finish line. Your score will be determined by your TOP 5 drivers. You may not list the same driver twice in any given race. If you goof  you will not receive any points for the second listing and that driver will be scored as your lowest points driver.
Each pick will score the points awarded by NASCAR. The total of your five (5) highest picks will be your Points Total  with the Highest score being the winner.
[Tied Year End Championship will be determined by who has the most wins. ]
BONUS Points Awarded to Standing:
* HIT: 5 points BONUS - If the first pick you list happens to win the race you will be awarded 5 point to your standings.
** PERFECTION: 50 point BONUS - Picking 1-2-3-4-5
Points if you MISS playing:
I will only roll picks for a total of 3 races.....after that it gets really old for me to keep adjusting the scoring....with the exception of a really, really good reason...then message me.
Rollover scores will not receive a place on the podium and your total score will be docked *10 points

SIDEBAR: If for any reason NASCAR removes points and penalizes a driver I will not adjust the points awarded. If a named driver is not racing for whatever reason but the numbered car is still driven by another driver I will go with the car number but points will be who is driving.

 * changed for 2018

I'm with the young gun Rust on this one, PICK 6 every week for me. I will not say i invented the pick 6 in another life but!!!!!!!!!!!!!   LOL!!!!!!!!!  :) eel.

Comment by Tombo on July 28, 2015 at 1:54pm

because right now most of us are picking all 5 chase drivers each week.

Comment by Tombo on July 28, 2015 at 1:53pm

leave the "pick 5" as pick 5 and during the chase, only allow us to pick one chase driver and 4 non chase drivers per week in our pick 5 picks..

Hmmmmm, I think my mind is made up "Princess". I will vote YES for pick 6, and we shouldnt wonder why. I started "Wild Card" 6 picks years ago at "Mic's Picks 6" cause its fun and fair, especially in Dega and Daytona. That might have been 8 years ago. Now my game is pick 6 every week, with top 5 being scored for pnts. I find the game fun, yet still fair. You should know, you are tied for the lead in the standings here, so things work!

I'd be flattered if you went pick 6! Just always remember who had the idea many moons ago!!!

Go for it!  I'm in!                                    "Rust"

Hey ya’ll, I would like to take poll and get your opinion.  I was thinking of a

little change up for Pick 5 starting with the Chase….tell me what ya’ll think.

On occasion I give you the opportunity to pick 6 drivers and delete the driver with the lowest score.

I sure do like those weeks.  My question is:

  • Do you want to see more Opportunity Weeks _____
  • Do you want to have pick 6 each week_____
  • Do you want the game to remain the same_____
